About Us

The founder of Suffolk Will Services, Helen Algar began her career after 6th form working within Private Client departments at local solicitors' offices. This gave Helen a wealth of knowledge and experience and in April 2019 she established Suffolk Will Services.

We visit our clients at a mutually convenient time and place.  This is most often in the comfort of their home, during the day or early evening.  Advice given to them will be tailored to their individual circumstances.

Helen Algar offers a bespoke Will Writing service.  Whether people need a Will; Lasting Power of Attorney; Probate advice (guidance and advice on the practical steps or help with obtaining a Grant of Probate or Grant of Letters of Administration); Declaration of Trust or Severance of a persons’ ownership of a home (so they own their home as Tenants in Common) Helen will guide them through the process.

Suffolk Will Services is based in Ipswich, Suffolk and has clients throughout Suffolk; North Essex and South Norfolk. Helen can visit Ipswich; Claydon; Hadleigh; Boxford; Sudbury; Felixstowe; Needham Market; Stowmarket; Diss; Halesworth; Aldeburgh; Southwold; Framlingham; Wickham Market; Rendlesham; Woodbridge; Shotley; Brantham; Manningtree; Bury St Edmunds and everywhere in between.

Services

  • Will Writing
A persons Will can be as straightforward or complicated as it needs to be to suit their requirements. Whether their personal circumstances are straightforward or more complex trusts are needed, their new Will can reflect this.
  • Lasting Power of Attorney
Many of us will, at some point in the future, have a good use for having a Lasting Power of Attorney in place. Whether this is while they are on holiday; unwell or in the case of an expected or unexpected stay in hospital. Lasting Powers of Attorney relate to that person’s health and/or financial decisions.
  • Probate Advice
When someone has passed away, their Executor or closest relative needs to deal with that person's financial paperwork and this will include arranging the funeral; managing and closing their bank accounts and investments; securing and insuring their home; arranging the sale of their home and administering and distributing the estate, in accordance with a Will or the intestacy rules.

Careers at Suffolk Will Services

Opportunities may arise in future where we would be looking to take on Apprentices and provide work experience to young people with an interest in the Law, and gaining experience in this sector. Along with this, there may be opportunities available to work in Administration here at Suffolk Will Services too. Ideally, candidates would be over 18 years old to allow the individual to gain experience with the signing of wills, a very interesting part of what we do here.
