Courses

Crime, its causes and consequences concern us all, particularly if children are involved.

We specialise in criminal justice, offering transformational learning opportunities for anyone wanting to learn more about or work in the youth and criminal justice systems.

We provide high quality, vocationally relevant courses and degrees, that are affordable and accessible to all.  The largest provider of youth justice programmes in the UK, we also recently established the Youth Justice Institute in partnership with other key organisations, to identify and disseminate the latest research and evaluation evidence to help practitioners improve outcomes for children.

Youth Justice
Written and developed by leading academics, managers and practitioners working in a wide range of youth justice organisations, our courses offer unparalleled breadth and depth of practice-based learning at half the cost of equivalent distance learning courses offered elsewhere, and up to a third of the cost of traditional campus-based programmes.

Unitas is also delighted to be offering the Level 5 Youth Justice Apprenticeship standard in addition to our range of youth justice vocational courses.  The training delivery period for the standard is 25 months and the apprentice will be supported by our own experienced youth justice in-house team of learning coaches and tutors.

The delivery methods will include access to our unique digital materials, bespoke regional or online workshops to support the apprentice learning experience as well as online and in-person support visits to the workplace.

Criminology & Criminal Justice
We offer two routes to a Criminology BA (Hons), both of which draw upon a broad range of disciplines such as Criminology, Sociology, Psychology, Law, Social Policy and Philosophy to actively encourage the development of strong analytical, reasoning and reflective skills.

The Crime, Criminology and Criminal Justice route is an exciting mainstream academic programme suitable for anyone who is interested in what drives people to commit crime and how society responds to this behaviour.
