Job Description

A Financial Trader buys and sells shares, bonds and assets for individuals and banks. They set prices and execute deals trying to maximum profits and minimise losses. They will act on behalf of a client placing orders and advising on market developments. Their aim is to buy low and sell high.

Entry Requirements

A minimum 2:1 degree in economics, maths, finance, business or accountancy would be preferable.  Entry without an HND or degree will be difficult but you could enter as an administrator and then eventually move up the scale.

National Government Policy states that all students should have achieved at least a Grade 4 or C Grade in English & Maths at GCSE.  Achieving this minimum grade in these subjects will increase the opportunities open to you, support your future career development and prospects.

Students who do not meet this standard will be supported to continue to study English and Maths through full-time education or an Apprenticeship.

£26,000 to £32,000
