A Fisheries Officer is responsible for the conservation and protection of fisheries which could be fresh water or sea water. They will enforce legislation on fish stocking and will regulate, develop and protect the fisheries to help sustain the marine environment.
A degree in biological science, fisheries management, marine science/oceanology or another relevant subject is usually required for this role. Access without a degree or HND would only be possible with significant experience.
