Kitchen fitters will install kitchens in residential homes and in commercial premises, they will measure and assemble each kitchen unit and cut and fit worktops using a range of power or hand tools.
No formal qualifications are required but GCSE's (9-4 / A-C) in English and maths would be an advantage. Most kitchen fitters will get experience and qualifications from other trades such as plumbing, joinery and electrical installations. A good way to get into this job would be through an apprenticeship.
