Job Description

A Location Manager is responsible for finding an environment that is suited to a particular scene or the entire film, TV show or advertisement. They will need to ensure that the location that is chosen matches the vision of the producers and directors and will be required to liaise with property owners in order to gain permission to use their property. Rates of pay and hours can vary enormously depending on experience and reputation.

Entry Requirements

Although no specific qualifications are required, a relevant film and media course would be useful. Candidates would need excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of people.
