About us

Access Creative College is the UK's leading creative industries college. The College in Norwich is the place for anyone interested in music, media, games and events related courses in Norfolk and Suffolk to study.

We offer a range of Level 2, 3 and 4 courses and Level 5 degree courses in FdSc Audio and Music Technology and FdA Music Performance. 

We deliver qualifications in the following areas:

School of Music and Events
School of Media 
School of Games:
School of Computing:

These are practical courses which carry full UCAS points and have parity with other qualifications such as BTECs and A Levels.

We now offer FdSc Audio and Music Technology and FdA Music Performance degrees in partnership with Nottingham Trent University. These courses will be studied in the Access Creative College Norwich centre. The study can be topped up to complete an undergraduate degree at Nottingham Trent University.

The following apprenticeships are now offered in partnership with the National College Creative Industries.

  • Event Assistant Level 3

  • Junior Content Producer Level 3
  • Cultural Learning & Participation Officer Level 3

An apprenticeship is a great way to take your first step to a career in this vibrant and growing industry. Many roles in the creative industry require specialist, technical skills that simply cannot be learned in the classroom.

There’s no substitute for experience, and apprenticeships supported by NCCI provide just that – the perfect framework for candidates to develop the practical skills and knowledge to take advantage of opportunities within the industry.

Our story

At the moment we have around 515 students. Learning with Access Creative College is an exciting and unique experience which is refreshingly different to being in a big school or college. We are 100% dedicated to the creative industries and we work with people who are equally passionate.

Our staff are all industry experienced and they get to know who you are and what you want to be. We have a proven track record of students going on to university and into the industry (Ed Sheeran, Let's Eat Grandma, Jess Glyne, Mullally, Ria Ritchie and the owners of Takeover Entertainment - Tinchy Stryder, Wiley etc.).

Access Creative College Norwich runs from a dedicated site, former ITV studios, Epic on Magdalen Street. The site includes fully-equipped sound treated rehearsal rooms complete with drum kits, bass and guitar amps, keyboards and PA systems. Two Recording studios, each with separate live and control rooms. The studios have a mixing desk range of microphones to enable professional studio environment and enable production of professional standard recordings.

The tech suites are complete with Apple computers running Logic software with midi controller keyboards.

Live sound studio complete with Turbo sound rig and Allen and Heath digital desk, providing professional level venue experience to perform and learn in.

Access Creative College Norwich also benefits from being part of the UK's leading popular music college which has pioneered popular music education in this country for 25 years. This means your education and training is quality-assured by our national team. Access Creative College designs its own qualifications in partnership with Rockschool, so our courses are the most up-to-date and relevant for 16-18s looking to get into the music industry.

Finally, Norwich is a great place to study music, media, games or events. It has a lively music and cultural scene and there are plenty of opportunities to get out and perform or work at venues and festivals. You'll also benefit from national industry opportunities such working at music festivals and showcases for record labels.
