About us

Access Creative College is the UK's leading creative industries college. The College in Norwich is the place for anyone interested in music, media, and games related courses in Norfolk and Suffolk to study.

We offer a range of Level 2, 3 and 4 courses and Level 5 degree courses in FdSc Audio and Music Technology and FdA Music Performance. 

We deliver qualifications in the following areas:

These are practical courses which carry full UCAS points and have parity with other qualifications such as BTECs and A Levels.
Apprenticeships

We offer apprenticeships through Access Industry. 

Apprenticeships offer a different kind of educational experience to traditional BTECs and A Levels, allowing you to ‘learn while you earn’. When you sign up to an apprenticeship, you are employed by an organisation and learn both ‘on the job’ within the workplace, and via our online learning platform with support from industry specialists – and you earn a salary as you would with regular employment. 

Studying with us comes with a number of benefits including courses taught by industry experts with years of direct, hands-on experience in their field, full use of Access Creative College’s incredible facilities and access to a national network of like-minded creatives so you can build professional relationships throughout your time with us.

Our story

At the moment we have around 450 students. Learning with Access Creative College is an exciting and unique experience which is refreshingly different to being in a big school or college. We are 100% dedicated to the creative industries and we work with people who are equally passionate.

Our staff are all industry experienced and they get to know who you are and what you want to be. We have a proven track record of students going on to university and into the industry (Ed Sheeran, Let's Eat Grandma, Jess Glyne, Mullally, Ria Ritchie and the owners of Takeover Entertainment - Tinchy Stryder, Wiley etc.).

Access Creative College Norwich runs from a dedicated site, former ITV studios, Epic on Magdalen Street. The site includes fully-equipped sound treated rehearsal rooms complete with drum kits, bass and guitar amps, keyboards and PA systems. Two Recording studios, each with separate live and control rooms. The studios have a mixing desk range of microphones to enable professional studio environment and enable production of professional standard recordings.

The tech suites are complete with Apple computers running Logic software with midi controller keyboards.

Live sound studio complete with Turbo sound rig and Allen and Heath digital desk, providing professional level venue experience to perform and learn in.

We have fully equipped computer labs with Overclockers so you can use software like unity, construct 3, and blender.

Our IMac suites have access to the full Adobe Creative Suite and green screen technology. 

Access Creative College Norwich also benefits from being part of the UK's leading popular music college which has pioneered popular music education in this country for 25 years. This means your education and training is quality-assured by our national team. Access Creative College designs its own qualifications in partnership with Rockschool, so our courses are the most up-to-date and relevant for 16-18s looking to get into the music industry.
