Overview

Are you a creative person?

Can you translate your feelings, observations and opinions into design, visual art, music or even advertising?

Would you like a fun, rewarding career?

If the answer to these questions is yes, a career in creative industries could be for you.

There many different sectors within the industry from advertising, architecture and design to TV & radio, music, visual & performing arts.

The creative and cultural sector is already a major employer and contractor in its own right, with over 1,000 businesses in Norfolk and Suffolk employing over 15,000 people. This sector, and all those who work within it, plays a key role in the region's visitor economy and identity.

The companies and employers within the creative sector make an enormous contribution to making this region a fantastic place to live, work, visit, and invest. They attract talent, support our visitor economy and drive investment into vital cultural assets in our towns and cities, making them more vibrant and attractive places.

Suffolk has been welcoming a rich ensemble of high-profile companies in the creative sector; spanning from computer gaming, fine art, music, film, dance, animation and fashion. The largest employers in the county are software designers and advertising businesses but Suffolk is fast becoming renowned for its calendar of world class cultural events including Aldeburgh Festival, FlipSide, Pulse Festival, High Tide, the Aldeburgh Poetry Festival and of course Latitude.

Take a look at the sectors listed below and the different job roles to see if there is something that interests you!
