A Cruise Ship Steward will help out in the bar or restaurant on the ship, they will also be responsible for servicing the passengers rooms and making sure they are cleaned to a good standard. The role requires good customer service to ensure that guests are kept happy at all times. Salaries can vary depending on your employer.
There are no set requirements, but GCSEs in English and maths, or qualifications in areas like housekeeping, may be useful.
Paid or unpaid work experience as a hotel room attendant or in a customer service role may also help.

Students who do not meet this standard will be supported to continue to study English and Maths through full-time education or an Apprenticeship.
