Job Description

A completion engineer develop plans for the production of new wells that will help the existing wells. They have to take into consideration the well pressure, temperature and the reservoir formation and make sure they use the correct method to improve oil and gas well production.

You could get into this job though

University 

You will need a relevant degree in science or engineering.

You will usually need:

  • 1 or 2 A levels, or equivalent, for a foundation degree or higher national diploma
  • 2 or 3 A levels, or equivalent for a degree

National Government Policy states that all students should have achieved at least a Grade 4 or C Grade in English & Maths at GCSE.  Achieving this minimum grade in these subjects will increase the opportunities open to you, support your future career development and prospects.

Students who do not meet this standard will be supported to continue to study English and Maths through full-time education or an Apprenticeship.
