About Public Transport

Public transport is an essential part of the day to day functioning of the UK with many people relying on the public transport network to get them to and from work / school / college, popping into town or for a night out.  Whatever the reason public transport can be less stressful than driving yourself and it also helps the environment.

Millions of passengers are transported throughout the UK by using various means such as trains, buses, trams, tube, river bus, taxi, aeroplane and even rickshaws. This creates a wide range of exciting career opportunities from drivers to track engineers.

Some careers in transportation require higher education while others offer on the job training, the key to success within the industry is customer service, being able to meet customer demands. Delivering a good service involves many different aspects from engineering to planning routes, driving passengers and entertaining travelers.
